27th - 30th May - Relative Values - by Noel Coward
A deliciously devised comedy that highlights the absurdity of the upstairs/downstairs divide.
A Noel Coward classic “Relative Values” directed by Laurence Conway. Laurence is a long standing member of the group who has directed many successful plays with Belmont and other local groups. A man in demand and we are delighted that Laurence is onboard for a Noel Coward treat.
Relative Values highlights the absurdity of the upstairs/downstairs divide. The Earl of Marshwood plans to marry the flamboyant Hollywood film star Miranda Frayle but it transpires that the long time maid to the Earls mother is in fact Miranda’s older sister. Chaos ensues. Noel Coward, in this deliciously devised comedy has some delightful situations, with some priceless one-liners and running jokes.
Belmont are in the throes of completing their planning of an extensive season of plays through to 2016 so please keep in touch with us.
