In October 2015, the group played to a run of full houses for 'Pardon Me, Prime Minister' , a traditional, well-crafted farce. The audiences showed they loved it and all the dedicated hard work really paid off;  a real collective team with a hard-working cast and backstage team, with a great team effort from Front of House, Set Building, Working Parties, Props, Stage Managers, Prompt, Lighting and Sound, plus the vital work of Box Office and Publicity. Belmont at it's very best. The publicity for this play  worked well and the eye-catching programme and poster designed by Mike and Maggie Morrow certainly was one of our best. Who could resist that red bra!!!?

Belmont Theatre is always looking to welcome new members and patrons. We have a terrific programme of plays in the pipeline and plenty for you to get involved in.

Michael Collins (Chairman)

Comedy ''Pardon me Prime Minister'' by Edward Taylor and John Graham. In true traditional farce style it is full of fast action, mistaken identities.
Michael Collins will be directing this October production and Frankie Hogan was our producer.

The play is centred in number 10 Downing Street on the eve of Budget with the Chancellor planning a severe puritanical budget, set to rid the country of the permissive society. The hapless Prime Minister goes along with this until unexpected revelations throw things into chaos.

Belmont previously performed this play back in the 1990's (Michael played the PM) and it is a sure fire winner.
