To learn more call 07917 3241791 This is a comedy by the writer of the hit comedy 'Lend me a Tenor' and features a mature couple forced to travel to the USA to collect a baby who their younger relatives plan to adopt. They meet many colourful characters on their journey and return transformed, thanks to the cutest baby in California. Characters are as follows: John Campbell Mature, attractive, irascible Scottish gentleman in his 50s (must have a Scottish accent) Maud Kinch Mature, attractive, uptight, caring English lady in her 50s Christy McCall Young man - John’s ward - also Scottish but spent most time in London therefore accent not so essential. Aged 20/30s. Gloria Nance Young English girl - niece of Maud otherwise an orphan. Aged 20/30s Other male characters are Scottish parson, Dimitri, a French bell boy, a trendy American Waiter and a Scottish judge Other female characters are a Scottish cook, Air Stewardess and passenger (both English), Beverley Merchant, an Americal Adoption Official, an American or Latin American Nurse and Miss Brennan, an American Attorney. It is intended that the "other" characters are played by the same actor, i.e. one male and one female. This will be a real team production with all the cast getting involved in scene changing etc. Copies of scripts available in due course if interested. |
