Fantastic turnout last night for Jack the Ripper introductory evening. Excellent
presentation by the directors, Mike and Maggie about what is was like to be a
whore on the Whitechapel streets in 1888 (how do they know?) and to hear the
music again and see so many people we've not seen for a while.
There will
certainly be a very large cast so you still have time to join in this musical
extravaganza in a leading role, in the ensemble or backstage. Next introductory

This is now summarised on our home page. The process starts next
week and is open to members and non-members of Belmont Theatre.
There are no fees to take part in this process and no obligations until you are cast, so there is nothing to lose by attending.

We celebrated the Queens Jubilee this week by combining it with the
after show BBQ party for our last production – The Cemetary Club. Belmont is a really
sociable group and we organise a wide range of social activities, so if you are
looking to get involved in amateur theatre and enjoy a lively social life, why
not try us out?

We are busy planning our next show, Jack the Ripper - The Musical. The play is directed by Maggie & Mike
Morrow – two of our most experienced directors. Jack the Ripper is an ideal
production for you to get involved with Belmont. It’s a large cast play, you’ll
have the opportunity to meet most of the company and enjoy a lively and fun

Rob Smith joined Belmont having seen one of our productions
‘Fourplay’. He was really impressed with the company and used the time to meet
with Belmont members who were helping out with Front of House duties. He
subsequently joined and went on to act in 3-plays and direct one. So what are
