The review just arrived from the NODA critic, Harvey Kesselman, was full of praise for the production and will appear on this website soon in full. A couple of quotes from it :
'This was a first class play acted by a superb cast, all of whom played their parts extremely well. No hiccups, with excellent pace that did not falter.'
'What a splendid production this was. One of the finest sets I have ever seen, giving the correct appearance of a ‘garden room’, as described in the programme, in a house owned by a very wealthy man. Nothing was out of place from the furniture to the paintings and tapestries on the walls.'
Belmont Theatre were last night awarded 'Best Comedy' at the Barnet and District Drama Festival in which all but two of the entries were comedies - so that was no mean feat. Here the Director, Laurence Conway, is pictured with one of the stars of the show, Gillian Weinberg. Don't drop that award, Gillian. You might break it! Just a quick note to say many thanks to you and the Belmont Theatre for a truly excellent evening on Friday. I am sure I can say on behalf of us all, how much we enjoyed The Hollow and the performance would not be out of place in the West End. Susan Jones, Hertfordshire I just wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed the production at the Pump House, one of the best plays I have been to! Julia Smith, Middlesex We've started working on our next production: 'A Woman of No Importance' by Oscar Wilde. This will be staged at The Pump House, Watford on October 23rd - 26th 2013. Thanks very much to all our audiences who again helped create packed houses. Hope you enjoyed it.
