| Belmont's superbly-attended February production of Amy Rosenthal's 'Sitting Pretty', garnered several awards at the prestigious 2016 Barnet and District Drama Festival, including 'Best all-round Production', against very stiff competition from six other top local amateur theatre groups. As well as winning the top prize, for which a magnificent trophy was awarded by Finchley Press, Belmont's Kim Wedler won 'Best Actress' and Graham Broderick won 'Best Actor in a Supporting Role' for their respective parts in the show. Director, Paul Botly' was nominated for 'Best Producer'. From the detail received on the marks awarded, it was clear that all aspects of the show were highly-rated, reflecting well on the Director, cast, crew and all involved in the production. The Festival is held annually in conjunction with Barnet Council. |
